DIERKS BENTLEY CELEBRATES THE RELEASE OF HIS THIRD ALBUM "LONG TRIP ALONE" OCTOBER 17

The Party Kicks Off At Rockefeller Center With Performances on NBC's Today Show and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

NASHVILLE, TN - Oct. 12, 2006 - Dierks Bentley will be in New York next week to celebrate the launch of his new album LONG TRIP ALONE, chosen by The New York Times as one of the most anticipated releases of Fall, and the follow - up to his two Platinum® selling releases DIERKS BENTLEY and MODERN DAY DRIFTER. The album, produced by Brett Beavers, hits the streets October 17.

The CMA Male Vocalist of the Year nominee kicks off the week with an appearance on NBC's Today Show (Oct 16) where he'll perform his current Top - 5 single "Every Mile A Memory," as well as his hit song "Lot of Leavin' Left To Do." The band will quickly pack up their gear and jet next door for the national television debut of the next single "Long Trip Alone" on Late Night with Conan O'Brien (Oct 16). Also scheduled next week is an early morning visit and performance on IMUS In the Morning (Oct 18) where fans can catch Bentley perform multiple tracks from the new album. That same night he will get to do what he loves most - perform live when his Bud Light sponsored "Locked & Loaded" headlining tour is set to rock New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom.

Bentley also stopped by to see his friends at CMT and GAC recently to talk about the new album and give country fans inside scoop. He dished on everything from the story behind the new songs and what happens backstage on the tour to his own playlist of favorite videos and the band's secret Xbox competitions during episodes of CMT's Top 20 Countdown (Oct 12), CMT.com, CMT Insider (Oct 13), GAC Nights (Oct 18), GAC's My Music Mix (Nov. 13) and GAC's On The Streets (Oct 17).

Also, in anticipation of the launch of LONG TRIP ALONE, Bentley will grace the pages of USA Today, DNR magazine (cover), Draft magazine (cover), Country Weekly and Life, as well as an exclusive feature and photo shoot by the Associated Press scheduled to hit hundreds of papers nationwide. Features and album reviews are also scheduled to run in People, Entertainment Weekly, Details, Billboard, Paste, Performing Songwriter, American Songwriter, Country Weekly, OK! Magazine, Star Magazine, Washington Post, Miami Herald, Arizona Republic, Boston Globe, Dallas Morning News, Kansas City Star, Chicago Sun Times, Tampa Tribune, Charlotte Observer, Philadelphia Inquirer, San Diego Union Tribune, Tennessean and Columbus Dispatch to name a few.

The lead single "Every Mile A Memory," written by Bentley, Brett Beavers and Steve Bogard, is currently sitting at No. 3 on the R&R chart (formerly Billboard) and at No. 3 on the Mediabase chart (USA Today chart). This has been the fastest - rising single of his career, and radio listeners are more eager than anyone for the release of LONG TRIP ALONE.

"The group of artists that are considered 'legit' by both The Wolf's hard core Texas country fans and our Mainstream Country listeners is small indeed," says APD Smokey Rivers at 99.5 The Wolf in Dallas. "But Dierks is quickly moving up to the top of that short list! His unique sound is raw and organic but, at the same time, very contemporary. Like 99.5 The Wolf...Dierks appeals to everyone."

Bentley's star has soared over the past year and half. Since the release of MODERN DAY DRIFTER in May 2005, Bentley has become the youngest member of the world famous Grand Ole Opry, a CMA Horizon Award winner, an ACM Top Male Vocalist award nominee and most recently a CMA Male Vocalist of the Year nominee. He has appeared on numerous major national television outlets and has rocked sold - out crowds all over the country. All three releases off "Modern Day Drifter" produced No. one hits, two of which spent multiple weeks in the top spot ("Lot of Leavin' Left to Do", "Come A Little Closer", "Settle for a Slowdown"). His debut smash "What Was I Thinkin?" put the Phoenix - native on the map and the follow - up "How Am I Doin'" also boasts top five success.
