NASHVILLE, TN - May 15, 2010 - Broken Bow Records' Jason Aldean has landed his first number one single on both Billboard and R&R charts this week with his second release "WHY", written by John Rich, Vicky McGehee and Rodney Clawson. The hit song also spent two weeks in the top spot on CMT's "Top 20 Countdown" and three weeks at number one on Music Row's chart.

"I called my manager before he had a chance to call me this morning," laughs Aldean. "I've been working and waiting for this day for 14 years, so I was on the phone calling everyone I know before the sun came up this morning. Everyone at country radio, CMT and GAC has been awesome to me this year, and I really appreciate the support. There will be a party somewhere tonight!"

Aldean became a household name in 2005 when his first single "Hicktown" put the Georgia-native on the map. The top 10 hit helped set him up for GOLD certification by the RIAA for his self-titled debut release and award nominations from both CMT for "Breakthrough Video of the Year" and a nod from the ACM for "Top New Male Vocalist."

The event, sponsored by Wrangler's "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" program and Carl Black Chevrolet, will begin at 10:00pm at the Wildhorse Saloon, and all proceeds from the door and celebrity-autographed auction items will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

"Alan (Kates) and I started our tenure at BBR this morning, and I've got to say, what a great way to kick things off. This team sure knows how to roll out the welcome wagon and make us feel right at home." said Keith Stegall, BBR's Chief Creative Officer, "Congratulations to Jason, Michael Knox, Benny Brown, Jon Loba and the entire BBR staff on Jason's first number one single. I'm sure that there will be many more to follow."

Aldean began the year touring with Rascal Flatts and Blake Shelton on the "Me & My Gang" tour and co-headlining his own tour with Miranda Lambert called "Country Gone Wild." He will appear this week in Baton Rouge, LA, Tallahassee, FL, Atlanta, GA and Dothan, AL before flying to Las Vegas to appear on the ACM Awards (May 23 live on CBS). His next stops include the Coliseum stage during CMA Music Fest on June 9, 2006 with country stars Trace Adkins and Trisha Yearwood among others.
