Three Day Country Music Festival’s Scenic Setting, Devoted “‘Shedders” Fan Community And Unique Fringe Events Recognized In Award Category’s First Year
NASHVILLE, TN – March, 4, 2015 – Watershed Music and Camping Festival, the first festival launched from Live Nation’s premiere country music festival family, is nominated for the Academy Of Country Music Awards’ “Festival Of The Year.” The festival sold out in just minutes after going on sale yesterday, with superstars Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line and Carrie Underwood leading this year’s lineup.
With Watershed’s picturesque setting of the breathtaking Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA, the festival is a huge draw for fans and artists alike. Over 25,000 fans attend each year, building their own communities throughout the campgrounds and dubbing themselves “‘Shedders.” In addition to the festival’s history of attracting country’s biggest stars, the festival’s fringe events include a second stage dubbed “Next from Nashville,” late night sets, 100 ft. vertigo swing, giant ferris wheel, the world’s largest inflatable water slide and a Foamalicious foam party. The festival also remains an artist favorite with many enjoying the welcoming backstage vibe, the great crowd feedback and interaction and first class artist hospitality.
Following the success of Watershed, Live Nation launched Faster Horses (July 17-19) in Brooklyn, MI, also a finalist for “Festival of The Year” and Route 91 Harvest (Oct. 2-4) returning for the second year in Las Vegas, NV. 2015 will bring three new festivals including Windy City LakeShake (June 19-21) in Chicago, FarmBorough (June 26-28), New York City’s first country festival and Delaware Junction (Aug. 14-16) which is set to take place in Harrington, DE.
