NASHVILLE, TN – May 30, 2007 – Capitol Nashville Singer/Songwriter Dierks Bentley continues to be an innovator in the quest to reach music fans through new media strategies. Next week, Bentley will partner with the Bluebird Café and virtual community Second Life to become the first ever country artist to stream a live performance to online residents from 100 countries around the world when he kicks off “Superstars of the Bluebird” week at the legendary Nashville venue on Monday, June 4.
“One of my biggest goals as a live entertainer is to push the boundaries and take country music to new audiences,” says Bentley. “The Bluebird experience is so unique for both the listener and the performer. It’s cool to have the opportunity to share that with people who have never even been to Nashville.”
Bentley and co-writers Brett Beavers and Deric Ruttan (“What Was I Thinkin,” “Lot of Leavin’ Left To Do”) will headline the sold out 9:00pm show with all proceeds from the evening benefiting the Vanderbilt Childrens’ Hospital.
