Special Guest Jack Ingram To Ignite Audiences In Opening Slot
NASHVILLE, TN – Aug. 20, 2007 – Country music star Dierks Bentley will shift his headlining tour into high gear when his Bud Light sponsored THROTTLE WIDE OPEN tour rolls into 30 US cities beginning on Oct. 4 in Rome, GA. The high-octane dates will feature a marathon of unbridled live music by the multi-platinum singer/songwriter and special guest Big Machine recording artist Jack Ingram.
Known as the hardest working guy in country music, Bentley’s tour schedule has been at full tilt over the last four years. With the return of his arena headlining tour, he will spend the next four months focusing his attention on connecting with his fans in larger rooms.
“We aren’t at the level yet where we have the hi-def video screens or pyro or some crazy light show, so it’s just up to me and the guys in the band to go out there every night and connect with everyone in the audience even the folks up in the nosebleeds,” explains Bentley. “If that means crowd surfing or pulling people up on the stage to dance, we’ll do whatever it takes.”
Music critics across the country are taking notice of Bentley’s high-energy set calling him “a consummate showman” and his 18 song set a “breathtaking barn-burner of an affair.”
Bud Light, the No. one beer in the U.S. and the best-selling light beer in the world, will once again join Bentley out on the road this fall. Along with Tim McGraw and George Strait, Bentley is the only country artist to ever be endorsed by the adult beverage giant.
Big Machine Records artist Jack Ingram’s four consecutive hit singles have made him the most-played new artist of 2006 (Mediabase). His #1 smash single “Wherever You Are” kicked off a clean sweep of hits that was followed by the Top 10 tongue-in-cheek rocker, “Love You;” Jack’s rendition of “Lips of an Angel;” and the current chart-rising, “Measure of a Man.”
