DIERKS BENTLEY LAUNCHES HIS FIRST ANNUAL “MILES & MUSIC FOR KIDS” BENEFIT FOR VANDERBILT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Special Celebrity Appearances by Jeff Foxworthy, Montgomery Gentry, Miranda Lambert, Randy Rogers, Ray Scott and Buddy Jewell.

NASHVILLE, TN – March 16, 2005 – Country music star and 2006 CMA “Male Vocalist of the Year” nominee Dierks Bentley will host his first-annual “Miles & Music for Kids” celebrity motorcycle ride and concert to benefit Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital on Oct. 8 in Nashville.

“I’ve been going over to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for years to volunteer and visit the kids. Over the last several years through friends and their experiences, I’ve made an even more personal connection to the hospital,” said Bentley. “This is one way I can give back to a community that has given me so much support over the years.”

Registration for the Motorcycle Ride will run from 12pm – 3pm CT at the Cool Springs Harley Davidson, where riders can tailgate and catch the Titans game on multiple big screen televisions before taking off on a scenic, police-escorted ride through Franklin, Brentwood and Nashville. The ride will end at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds with a rocking country concert featuring full sets by Bentley and comedian Jeff Foxworthy, along with performances by special guests including Montgomery Gentry, Miranda Lambert and the Randy Rogers band beginning at 4:30pm CT.

Fans and supporters can purchase advance tickets for both the ride and concert through Ticketmaster beginning Sept. 9 or at the gate on Oct. 8. Costs are $35 for the ride, concert and T-shirt or $20 for the concert only. More information is also available at www.dbmilesandmusic.com

Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital is the most comprehensive Children’s Hospital in the state, providing services from cancer treatments, organ and bone marrow transplants to broken legs and everything in between. Vanderbilt Children’s is a non-profit teaching and research hospital, and relies on the support of individuals and others to help children get well and on their way.

“Lot of Leavin’ Left to Do,” the first single from the upcoming, Modern Day Drifter is quickly ascending the charts and is already at #21 in both Billboard and R&R. Dierks is looking forward to sharing this and other songs with fans as he tapes a special live Sessions at AOL on March 28 and will post in early April. He’ll follow that up the next day with a concert at BB King’s in New York City. TV Guide Channel will catch up with Dierks to interview him about his new album at the show.
