DIERKS BENTLEY WILL TREK ACROSS THREE CONTINENTS IN AN EFFORTTO PLAY MORE SUMMER FESTIVALS THAN EVER BEFORE

U.S. Highlights Include Stagecoach, Lollapalooza, Sturgis Bike Week and his own Dudebrahbrew

NASHVILLE, TN – April 7, 2008 – In just five short years, country music star Dierks Bentley skyrocketed from playing dive bars on Nashville’s Second Ave. for tips to headlining some of the biggest summer stages across the country; and this year, Bentley plans to take his live show around the world in an effort to connect with as many new fans as possible. Along with headlining some of the biggest music festivals in the United States, Bentley will also travel to Canada, England, Ireland, Norway, France and Japan before the summer is over.Bentley will hit all the premiere country festivals in the United States kicking off next week with Country Thunder in Florence, AZ with stops continuing at Stagecoach Festival, in Indio, CA; Country Fair in Atlanta, GA; and Country USAin OshKosh, WI, to name just a few. He will also join Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Kanye West and others as the only country artist tapped for Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL, before traveling to Sturgis, SD for Sturgis Bike Week.

“We played Bonnaroo last year, and honestly, we didn’t know if anyone would even show up to see our set,” says Bentley. “But we were pleasantly surprised to have a huge crowd who were genuinely into the music. When the Lollapalooza offer came in, it seemed like another opportunity to go out as the underdog and try to win over some new fans.”

As if travel oversees to Europe and Asia isn’t enough to complete the singer/songwriter’s busiest summer to date, Bentley also has plans to produce his own shows including a second run of his “DudeBrahBrew” festivals in Jackson, WY and Missoula, MT with such artists as Robert Earl Keen, Reckless Kelly and Mickey and the Motorcars on the bill. Additionally, Bentley will host his 2nd Annual “Summer Chill” concert at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre with openers Rodney Atkins and old friends Cross Canadian Ragweed to finish out the summer.

“It definitely feels like we are putting some serious miles on the bus this summer,” notes Bentley. “We are always looking for new places to play, and adding Europe and some of our own festival dates to the calendar puts us over the top for sure.”

Bentley will release his first fan produced hits collection titled “Greatest Hits//Every Mile A Memory 2003 – 2008” on May 6, 2008 on Capitol Nashville. For a complete list of upcoming appearances and tour dates visit www.dierks.com.
