Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row Breaks Ground for Fourth Location in LoDo

Joint venture brings multi-platinum singer-songwriter’s American gastropub concept to former LoDo’s Bar & Grill location in Downtown Denver

DENVER (Feb. 24, 2021) – Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, an American gastropub known for its award-winning food, drinks and exhilarating nightlife inspired by Bentley himself, recently broke ground at 1942 Market St., the former site of Lodo’s Bar and Grill. The project is part of a joint venture between Monfort Companies, Iconic Investments and Riot Hospitality Group. The new Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row is the fourth of the franchise and the first location outside of his home state of Arizona and his current home state of Tennessee.

“The Ballpark neighborhood has transformed into a vibrant entertainment district over the past few years with developments like McGregor Square and Dairy Block, and we are proud to contribute to its evolution with the opening of Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row,” said Kenneth Monfort, director of Monfort Companies. “We are hopeful that this project will serve as another catalyst for revitalization in this area and contribute to a world-class Ballpark district that attracts residents and visitors 365 days a year.”

“It’s really meaningful to me to open up a Whiskey Row in Denver, a city I’ve come to love from the many concerts and visits to the Rocky Mountains over the years,” said Dierks Bentley. “We’re very selective in the places we choose, and I’m honored to build something that will contribute to what’s happening down here in the Ballpark neighborhood for years to come. Selfishly, this gives me a great excuse to come back to Colorado to visit, and of course, play some live music here when it’s safe.”

The restaurant is scheduled to open in late 2021. The existing buildings will undergo a major renovation, including a 6,000-square-foot addition. Various structural and design improvements will be made to maintain and enhance the historical components of the buildings at 1942 Market St. and 1946 Market St. while conveying the spirit of Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row.

Other updates will include a two-story infill structure and extended patio that will be constructed on an existing surface parking lot to the east of 1946 Market St. A second-story rooftop addition will be constructed from the historic façade at 1946 Market St., and a redesigned streetscape will further improve the Market Street pedestrian experience.

Additional team members collaborating on Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row include Riot Hospitality GroupAlpine BankCircle West Architects and Jaco General Contractor, Inc.
