FLASHBACK WITH THOMAS RHETT IN HIS NEW “CRASH AND BURN” MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERING TODAY ON PEOPLE.COM
The New Video for Thomas Rhett’s Fastest Rising Single Also Makes Its Televised Premiere On CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown Tomorrow
Nashville, TN – June 5, 2015 – PLATINUM-selling Thomas Rhett hosts his own “Flashback Friday” as he time-hops in the music video for the premiere of his upbeat breakup anthem “Crash And Burn” today exclusively on People.com. Blazing up the charts as the fastest rising single of his career, CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown will air the broadcast debut tomorrow (6/6), beginning at 8:00A CT. Fans will also be able to view the new video across all of CMT’s platforms including CMT.com, the CMT Artists app, CMT Pure and it will be available at all other digital partners Monday (6/8).
Directed by TK McKamy, the charmingly throwback “Crash And Burn” video captures the paradox of the song’s desolate lyrics and dance-worthy groove, and will make you want to “roll down the windows and crank up the radio” (ET Online). Thomas Rhett takes to the streets of downtown Nashville with a vintage boombox and classic convertible, after his love life makes a downward spiral.
“It was cool to shoot this video at some of my old stomping grounds from college,” said Thomas Rhett. “I think any guy can relate to the scenes in this video…we’ve all been in this guy’s shoes trying to do whatever it takes to win back a girl!”

“Crash And Burn” is the lead single from Thomas Rhett’s upcoming sophomore release on The Valory Music Co. His debut album IT GOES LIKE THIS (The Valory Music Co.), which spawned three consecutive No. one hits, making him Billboard’s first male country artist to do so from a debut album in over two decades. The most recent No. one GOLD certified “Make Me Wanna,” showcases Thomas Rhett’s signature swagger and was named Billboard’s “Best Country Songs of 2014.” The project also produced the PLATINUM-certified No. one smash “Get Me Some Of That,” as well as two Top 15 hits, “Beer With Jesus” and “Something To Do With My Hands.” His “high-energy all the way” (El Paso Times) caught the attention of critics out on the road, where he is stepping up as direct support for Florida Georgia Line’s ANYTHING GOES TOUR 2015 this year. The CMA and ACM “New Artist of the Year” nominee who initially garnered attention as a gifted songwriter with credits including hits by Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean and Lee Brice, is “at the forefront of young country singers” (Tampa Bay Times), as one of country music’s elite new artists.
