Nashville, TN – July 11, 2016 – In Garth Brooks’ case, it isn’t hyperbole to call him one of the greatest entertainers ever to hit the stage. His signature explosive live show that combines high-flying rock & roll grandeur with breathtaking intimacy rolled into New York City for a two night stand at Yankee Stadium this weekend (7/8 and 7/9). The one-of-a-kind custom-built stage included a spectacular circle runway, 400 pyro hits and more than 25,000 square feet of video screens, creating an impressive view for any seat in the packed stadium. Even when faced with inclement weather on the second night, Brooks performed for devoted fans past 2:00 AM.

“He gave the crowd exactly what they wanted. Everything.” – Entertainment Weekly

“Brooks miraculously captivated the stadium with just his voice and guitar, and seemingly could have kept the crowd spellbound for hours.” – Billboard

“If there was a consistent theme during the night other than the expanse and longevity of Brooks’ catalog, it was love.” – Rolling Stone

“One of the greatest in pop music history, a man who vacillates seamlessly between the performance of intimacy and the performance of exuberance, and often does not distinguish between the two.” – New York Times

Brooks joins a top-tier club of artists like Justin Timberlake, Madonna and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters to hold multi-night shows at the iconic venue’s new location, and is the first country artist to do so. Moreover, Brooks’ shows at Yankee Stadium were a triumphant and long-awaited return, marking the first time since his historic Central Park performance nearly 20 years ago.

In midst of his record-breaking tour, tonight Brooks will preview “Inside Studio G: A Monday Night Conversation,” a weekly Facebook Live series at 6:00P CT. The new initiative officially launches July 18 on his Facebook page and will offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of his next album.

As the RIAA’s No. One-selling solo artist in U.S. history with more than 137 million album sales, Garth Brooks has received every accolade the recording industry can bestow on an artist and is a member of the International Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Musicians Hall of Fame. Currently, he is on the second year of his blockbuster GARTH BROOKS WORLD TOUR with Trisha Yearwood, breaking his own records in addition to those previously held by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. With nearly five million tickets sold, it is the biggest tour in the world. The tour rolls into San Antonio, TX on July 22 for four shows over the course of three days.
