JASON ALDEAN INVITES FANS TO HELP HIM CELEBRATE HIS ACM TOP NEW MALE VOCALIST WIN and HIS FIRST NUMBER ONE HIT DURING CMA MUSIC FEST
Aldean Also Proves He is ‘Tough Enough to Wear Pink’ by Hosting a Breast Cancer Fundraiser to Benefit Susan G. Komen
NASHVILLE, TN – May 31, 2010 – Rising country music star Jason Aldean (Broken Bow Records) is inviting his fans out to celebrate both his ACM “Top New Male Vocalist” win and his first Number one hit for “WHY” (written by John Rich, Vicky McGehee and Rodney Clawson) on Wednesday, June 7 at 4:30pm CT at Mystic on 2nd Avenue in Nashville.
“Winning the ACM and having my first number one in the same week was unbelievable, especially after having worked 14 long years for it all to come down to this one week,” says Aldean. “It’s the fans who have gotten me this far, and it wouldn’t be a party unless they were there to have a few beverages with me and the band!”
Fans will get a special acoustic performance of Aldean’s hits including “WHY” and “Hicktown”, as well as his highly-anticipated next single “Amarillo Sky.” The official industry Number One party will follow. The week’s activities take off from there including autograph signings, charity events, media appearances, participation in the Opry Trust benefit, a performance at the Coliseum on June 9 followed by a concert fundraiser to benefit breast cancer research that same night.
The event, sponsored by Wrangler’s “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” program and Carl Black Chevrolet, will begin at 10:00pm at the Wildhorse Saloon, and all proceeds from the door and celebrity-autographed auction items will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
“Breast Cancer has directly touched me and my family and friends, and I know first-hand what finding a cure for this disease would mean to a lot of people,” explains Aldean. “I’ve invited some friends out to join me, and we will play until Wildhorse security drags us off the stage if it means people will come out and support this cause.”
