Tune-In Tonight as Aldean Joins MTV’s Ridiculousness
NASHVILLE, TN – Feb. 03, 2020 – Reigning ACM “Artist of the Decade” Jason Aldean kicked off the the winter leg of his 2020 WE BACK TOUR to capacity crowds this past weekend with three back-to-back sell-outs. As the 21-city trek launched in Columbia, SC (1/30), Aldean made it a memorable night as he surprised the crowd with good friend and South Carolina native Darius Rucker when the two teamed up for “Wagon Wheel” as well as Hootie & the Blowfish’s mega-hit “Let Her Cry.” Aldean continued to make sure “the people got what they wanted” (Free-Times) in Orlando, FL (1/31) and Jacksonville, FL (2/01) as he mixed fan-favorites and new music from his No. One selling studio album, 9 (Macon Music/Broken Bow Records), including its Top 10 lead single “We Back” which serves as the tour’s namesake.
Known as a member of Country’s elite headliners, Aldean “kept the crowd on its feet with a hard-rocking Country show” (Florida Times-Union) which included support from Morgan Wallen, Riley Green and Dee Jay Silver. As Aldean “plans to spend a big portion of 2020 onstage” (Rolling Stone) the run heads to the mid-west this week with stops in Des Moines, IA (2/06), Omaha, NE (2/07) and Fargo, ND (2/08).
Tonight Aldean steps onto a different stage as he serves as the couch guest on Ridiculousness (2/03 at 9:00P CT on MTV). He joins host Rob Dyrdek, Steelo Brim and Chanel West Coast as they watch absurd viral videos.
Following his own time-tested formula for nearly 15 years while bolstering 15 billion streams and more than 18 million albums sold and 23 radio chart-toppers, Aldean continues to make modern albums with an old-school soul that critics admire. His ninth studio album, 9, debuted at the top spot on Billboard’s Country Albums chart while landing at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200 all-genre chart. Notably, all eight of Aldean’s previous studio albums have been certified Gold or Platinum by the RIAA. His tours are nearing legendary status as he has sold over ten million tickets and is one of the first of few acts in the genre to sell-out multiple stadiums including UGA’s Sanford Stadium, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, AT&T Stadium and Gillette Stadium.
