JASON ALDEAN’s “AMARILLO SKY” VIDEO TO WORLD PREMIERE ON CMT THIS THURSDAY, AUGUST 17

Country Weekly Will Give Away the Wranglers Worn in the Video

NASHVILLE, TN – Aug 17, 2006 – Rising country music star Jason Aldean’s latest video for “Amarillo Sky” will world premiere on CMT this Thursday, August 17, 2006 and then go into “HOT SHOT” rotation on the network. It will additionally go into heavy rotation on CMT’s new network PURE COUNTRY on Friday, August 18th.

Directed by Wes Edwards for Ruckus Films, the video was filmed in rural Illinois and Nashville last month and features three real life farmers and some of the issues they face every day.

“We went to rural Illinois and knocked on doors to find these three young guys who farm for a living. It was really interesting to hear about some of the challenges they face,” explains Aldean. “‘Amarillo Sky’ is obviously a song about a farmer, but it also speaks to everyone who has a dream and prays to God not to take it away.”

Fans can get special behind-the-scenes coverage of the video on CMT “Insider” this week, and Country Weekly will give one lucky reader the Wranglers worn by Aldean in the video. Details can be found in the August 28 issue (on stands August 14).

The ACM Top New Male Vocalist, who recently celebrated his first #1 hit with “WHY”, is out on the road this summer playing fairs and festivals before joining Trace Adkins on the CMT Tour in the Fall.
