NASHVILLE, TN – Mar. 19, 2009 – Rising country music group Lady Antebellum premiered a new music video for “I Run To You” on CMT.com this morning. On Monday, the video will immediately go into hot shot rotation at CMT and medium rotation at GAC.
The video, filmed by first-time director and Lady A’s videographer Adam Boatman, intermingles a moving performance by the band with a ‘pay-it-forward’ message of helping those around you.
“On the surface, most people think this is a love song, but I think when we were writing this song, we had a bigger message in mind,” says Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood. “The song and video have a positive message about being there for other people in tough times, and I think that’s something we can all related to right now.”
“I Run To You” is the third single from their now GOLD album, which spawned two hits in 2008, “Love Don’t Live Here” and “Looking For A Good Time.”
Lady A has also announced they are teaming up with Southwest Airlines to offer one promising young filmmaker the chance to jet off to Chicago to produce and direct one of the award winning trio’s popular Webisode Wednesdays. Interested filmmakers can register at the Regal Green Hills 16 Cinema during the Nashville Film Festival from April 16-23 by telling Lady A why they would be the best person for the job in 25 words or less. A panel of judges, including judges from the film festival, will determine and announce the winner April 22. The winner will receive an invitation to the closing movie and party of the film festival as well as travel by Southwest Airlines, two nights of hotel accommodations and a chance to hang with Lady A before their concert at Soldier Field in Chicago on June 13.
