LADY ANTEBELLUM TRAVELS BACK IN TIME WITH THE DEBUT OF “LOOKIN’ FOR A GOOD TIME” VIDEO
Upcoming National Media Appearances Include Jimmy Kimmel Live and DirecTV’s Country Concert
NASHVILLE, TN – Aug. 18, 2008 – ACM Top New Group Lady Antebellum will make their new music video for the latest rising single – “Lookin’ For A Good Time” – available for preview and purchase beginning Aug. 19 exclusively through iTunes.
The video, directed by Chris Hicky, finds the trio in vintage wardrobe performing the song live on the set of a television show reminescent of variety programs from the 60’s and 70’s, while following the story of a young couple, who need help putting the spark back into their relationship.
“I knew that Lady A would want something different for this song, a video that lives across the street from ‘typical,’ explains Hicky. “For me there was something nostalgically playful about the music, I just kept envisioning a late 1960’s variety show, sort of an homage to Ed Sullivan and the American bandstand idea of a televised performance. It was meant to be a bit campy and over the top, and I knew if anybody could pull it off Lady Antebellum would do so in grand fashion. Not only did they dominate, they took the video to a level of wit and charm that blew me away. They are so cool, so fun, and so happy to be doing what they do.”
The single has been one of the most added at country radio since its release in June and is already a Top 30 hit. The crowd-favorite is the follow-up to Lady Antebellum’s first Top five single “Love Don’t Live Here” and the second single from their No. one debut album.
The band will perform the song and others live in a number of upcoming national media appearances including Jimmy Kimmel Live on Aug. 27, DirecTV’s Country Concert on Aug. 29 and ABC’s CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night To Rock on Sept. 8. Fans can also catch Lady Antebellum featured in USA Today, PEOPLE, American Profile and Georgia Music Magazine.
