More Than 850,000 Fans Across the Globe So Far Have Bought Tickets to Lady A’s OWN THE NIGHT WORLD TOUR
NASHVILLE, TN – May 21, 2012 – From their sold out OWN THE NIGHT WORLD TOUR date last night in Columbia, MD, country music trio Lady Antebellum won the Billboard Music Award for Top Country Artist beating out heavyweights Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and the Zac Brown Band for the title.
“We hated not being in Vegas for the Billboard Awards, but we got to celebrate the win with our fans on tour, and that was extra special,” said Lady A’s Charles Kelley. “Our backstage tiki bar Club Labellum rocked a little harder than usual last night!”
Lady A played to more than 47,000 fans this past weekend on a run that had been scheduled prior to the Billboard Music Awards, preventing their attendance in Las Vegas last night. The OWN THE NIGHT WORLD TOUR has now sold over 850,000 tickets across the globe. In addition to their previously announced UK tour dates, the trio announced today the addition of Birmingham, England on July 17 at the O2 Academy.
