LANCO HOSTS SOLD-OUT OPENING WEEKEND OF 2019 HALLELUJAH NIGHTS TOUR INCLUDING MULTIPLE SHOWS IN SAME CITIES
iHeart’s “Best New Country Artist” Nominee Kicked Off Second Leg of First-Ever Headlining Run with Over 5,000 Fans
Their “Reputation as On of Country’s Most Potent Live Acts” (Rolling Stone) Cemented in Live Recap Video
NASHVILLE, TN – Jan. 14, 2019 – iHeart’s “Best New Country Artist” nominee LANCO propelled into the new year by hosting capacity crowds this past weekend for the launch of the second leg of their HALLELUJAH NIGHTS TOUR. During five back-to-back shows featuring special guest Caylee Hammack, LANCO ushered in more than 5,000 fans throughout the midwest with a two-night stint in both Chicago, IL (1/9, 1/11) and Minneapolis, MN (1/12, 1/13) as well as a stop in Milwaukee, WI (1/10). Fans can experience full-throttle highlights from the weekend here.
Following 2018’s 26-city run that featured sold-out club runs in major markets such as New York City and Los Angeles, LANCO has built “a reputation as one of Country’s most potent live acts” (Rolling Stone). Known to offer “a very pleasing small-town Kings of Leon vibe” (The Ringer) the multi-Platinum band lets out “equal parts arena rock and country” (The Daily Gazette) at every show.
“LANCO had the audience dancing and singing along to every song during their impressive nearly hour and a half long set. The five-piece group showed many sides throughout their Saturday night set…all of the songs told a cohesive story about this band.” – Twin Cities Media
“If the quintet isn’t yet on the creative level of the Zac Brown Band, LANCO surpasses the standards of most bro-country boys and fins fans among pop-country aficionados that are not afraid of bigs beats and volume.” – Journal Sentinel
“LANCO’s surge of success can be attributed to the relatability and the connection they make with country music fans.” – Free Press
“They make music that matters and sounds original it’s an ethic the band has had from the very beginning.” – Planet Weekly
“The best adjective for LANCO’s sound is big…big energy…as the band’s five members play as one. Passion and energy drives that sound.” – Columbia Daily Tribune
The “arena-rock leaning band” (Entertainment Weekly) paved the course for critical acclaim with the success of their 2x PLATINUM single “Greatest Love Story” which became a multi-week chart topper. Following the release of their No. One selling debut album HALLELUJAH NIGHTS, both moments were historical in Country music as Lancaster became the first artist in 10 years to have a No. One on the chart solely written by that artist while LANCO serves as the first Country group in a decade to appear at the top of the Billboard Country albums chart with a debut album, which now boasts over 426 million streams. LANCO “won admirers among its peers” (Billboard) last year earning nominations from the ACM, CMT, CMA and American Music Awards while Lancaster became the first member of a group to ever win NSAI’s “Songwriter/Artist of the Year.” Their distinct Southern storytelling with a modern punch of rock and roll continues to unravel as they head back to the studio with award-winning producer Jay Joyce to begin recording their sophomore album.
