RASCAL FLATTS PERFORMS ALONGSIDE ACM® LIFTING LIVES® MUSIC CAMPERS IN CAMP FINALE AT THE GRAND OLE OPRY
Nashville, TN – June 29, 2016 – ACM® Lifting Lives® Music Camp was in session throughout the past week in Nashville, Tenn. with campers from around the country participating in activities and excursions around Music City, culminating last night in a touching performance at the Grand Ole Opry with Rascal Flatts, singing their original song “Happy Together,” which they wrote just days ago with Eric Paslay and Ross Copperman.
The residential camp has the dual purpose of studying Williams syndrome while providing the 30 campers with music enrichment through performance and education. In addition to the songwriting session that kicked off Camp last week, campers enjoyed a trip to the Seacrest Studios with RaeLynn, a Wildhorse Saloon meet and greet with Maddie & Tae, karaoke night at Winner’s Bar & Grill with Montgomery Gentry, a trip to the Bluebird Cafe with Maren Morris, a Q&A with Carrie Underwood and a recording studio session with producer Ross Copperman at Belmont University’s Ocean Way Nashville Studios.
The camp is a partnership between ACM Lifting Lives and Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.
