Aldean To Perform At Inaugural Firestone Legends Day Concert at The Indianapolis 500
NASHVILLE, TN – May, 19, 2014 – ACM’s “Male Vocalist of the Year” Jason Aldean and Firestone have officially teamed-up for a brand partnership, which will kick off this Sat., May 24 for Firestone Presents: Jason Aldean at the Indianapolis 500. Aldean will headline the inaugural concert at the new Turn 4 infield stage at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway before the next day’s legendary race.
“Firestone is a natural fit for me,” said Aldean. “I’m a truck guy, and I can tell you truck guys care a lot about their tires. For me, the bigger, the better! Looking forward to having them as a partner in kicking off the relationship at the Indy 500.”
“Firestone has a tradition of providing innovative and durable tires for what we like to call the ‘work hard, play hard’ market,” said Philip Dobbs, Chief Marketing Officer, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations. “That ‘work hard, play hard’ mantra is synonymous with the stories characterized in country music and the fans who embody those stories. We believe Jason Aldean best represents that hard-working, fun-loving spirit that resonates with our customers and is inherent in the Firestone brand.”
Firestone, the Official Tire of the Verizon IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, will also begin the partnership with a presence at select 2014 BURN IT DOWN TOUR dates this summer, where fans will be able to participate in interactive Firestone exhibits. This weekend, Aldean became the first country artist to demand a three-night run at his home state’s Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood (5/15, 5/16, 5/17). The 2014 BURN IT DOWN TOUR will hit already sold out MLB stadiums in Cleveland, OH; Cincinnati, OH and Pittsburgh, PA this summer as well two sold out nights at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater.
